About me

I am a writer with a background in science and journalism. My articles have appeared in Narratively, Nautilus, NASA Astrobiology, Space.com, and other places. I’m currently working on my first book (more on that later).

I graduated with a degree in biochemistry from UCLA and received an MA in journalism from NYU. Over the years, I’ve channeled my curiosity into a number of eclectic jobs.

From 2014 to 2019, I was a producer at StarTalk Radio, the Emmy-nominated and Webby Award-winning talkshow hosted by the astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. From 2016 to 2023, I worked as teacher-therapist with an autistic individual through a NYC-based Johns Hopkins program. From 2008 to 2011, I was a research assistant at UCLA, first in a virology & immunology lab, then in the department of occupational medicine (published studies are here). I’ve also had a series odd-fun jobs in construction, in restaurants, in a health food store.

I was born in France and grew up in a small mountain town, Pontarlier. I’m now based in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts.

In my spare time, I enjoy trail running and training for ultra-marathon races. I also dabble in nature (iPhone) photography.
